Chart of Accounts

Manage the full General Ledger chart of accounts. All financial transactions post to accounts defined here.

Fields

  • Account Code - Unique numeric identifier
  • Account Name - Descriptive name
  • Account Group - Classification group (GL Account Groups)
  • GL Account Class - High-level class (Asset, Liability, Equity, Income, Expense)

Operations

  • Add New - Create a new GL account
  • Edit - Modify account details
  • Search - Find accounts by code or name

Tips

  • Account numbering should follow a logical structure (e.g., 1xxx=Assets, 2xxx=Liabilities)
  • Accounts used in transactions cannot be deleted
  • Use Account Groups for report formatting
