Customers

Customers

This page manages customer master records. Each customer contains contact information, financial settings, and credit terms.

Fields

  • Customer Name - Full legal or trading name
  • Short Name - Abbreviated identifier (used in reports)
  • Address - Primary business address
  • Tax ID - Tax registration number
  • Currency - Default transaction currency
  • Sales Type - Default pricing group (Retail, Wholesale, etc.)
  • Credit Status - Active, On Hold, or Dissatisfied
  • Payment Terms - Default payment terms for this customer
  • Credit Limit - Maximum outstanding credit allowed
  • Discount % - Default line discount percentage
  • Payment Discount % - Prompt payment discount

Customer Contacts

You can add multiple contacts under each customer. Each contact has:

  • Contact name, phone, fax, email
  • Contact role/category

Operations

  • Add New - Create a new customer record
  • Edit - Modify existing customer details
  • Search - Find customers by name or ID
  • Add Branch - Navigate to Customer Branches
  • Transactions - Jump to Customer Transactions

Tips

  • A customer must have at least one branch before sales orders can be created
  • Default branches are created automatically if configured in Company Setup
  • Use the popup search (magnifier icon) to quickly find customers in transaction screens
