Quick Entries

Define shortcut templates for frequently used journal entries or bank transactions. Instead of entering each GL line manually, a quick entry automatically creates the full transaction from a single amount.

Fields

Description - Template name
Type - Journal, Payment, or Deposit
Base Amount - Fixed or variable
GL Lines - Predefined account splits with percentages or fixed amounts

Example

A "Monthly Rent" quick entry could split a payment:

90% to Rent Expense
10% to Input Tax

How to Use

When creating a bank payment or journal, select a Quick Entry type. Enter the total amount and the system fills in all GL lines automatically.
