Statutory Deductions

Statutory Deductions store employee and employer contribution rules.

Fields

  • Name - statutory item name.
  • Code - short code.
  • Employee Rate, Employer Rate - percentage rates.
  • Employee Fixed, Employer Fixed - fixed amounts if required.
  • Ceiling Amount, Floor Amount - optional limits.
  • Calculation Base - Basic Salary or Gross Salary.
  • Employee Account, Employer Account - optional GL accounts.
  • Effective From, Effective To - effective dating.
  • Inactive - stop future use without deleting history.

Workflow

  1. Create statutory rows after pay elements and before live payroll.
  2. Decide whether each item should calculate from Basic or Gross.

Notes

  • Ceiling and Floor can remain blank.
  • This page is separate from Deduction Codes and from normal pay elements.
