Bill of Materials (BOM)

Define the components and quantities required to manufacture a product.

How to Create a BOM

  1. Select the manufactured Item (parent)
  2. Add component items:
  3. * Select Component Item
  4. * Enter Quantity required per unit of parent
  5. * Select Work Centre where this component is used
  6. * Optionally set Waste % for expected material loss
  7. Repeat for all components
  8. Click Update to save

Multi-Level BOMs

Components can themselves be manufactured items with their own BOMs. This creates a multi-level BOM structure. The system resolves the full material requirements during production planning.
