Fiscal Years
Define financial years for accounting periods.
Operations
- Create - Define a new fiscal year with start/end dates
- Close - Close a completed fiscal year (posts year-end journals)
Important
- A fiscal year must be created before transactions can be posted for that period
- Closing a fiscal year transfers the net profit/loss to retained earnings
- Closed years cannot receive new postings
