Manage Job Positions
Use this page to define actual positions employees can hold.
Fields
- Position Name - job title.
- Salary Basic Amount - base pay anchor for the position.
- Job Class - class created in Manage Job Classes.
Workflow
- Create the position after the related job class exists.
- Enter the Salary Basic Amount carefully because it appears as Base Pay in Manage Salary Structure.
- Assign the position to employees in Manage Employees.
Tips
- Positions are operational records. Keep names stable so history and reporting remain clear.
- If the company uses grade-based differences, set the position first, then adjust by grade in Manage Salary Structure.
