Manage Job Positions

Use this page to define actual positions employees can hold.

Fields

  • Position Name - job title.
  • Salary Basic Amount - base pay anchor for the position.
  • Job Class - class created in Manage Job Classes.

Workflow

  1. Create the position after the related job class exists.
  2. Enter the Salary Basic Amount carefully because it appears as Base Pay in Manage Salary Structure.
  3. Assign the position to employees in Manage Employees.

Tips

  • Positions are operational records. Keep names stable so history and reporting remain clear.
  • If the company uses grade-based differences, set the position first, then adjust by grade in Manage Salary Structure.
