New Lead

Create or edit a lead record. A lead represents an initial contact or prospect that may eventually become a customer.

Contact Information

  • Lead Name (required) — The primary identifier for this lead
  • Organization — Company or organization name
  • Email — Contact email address (validated format)
  • Phone — Phone number
  • Mobile — Mobile phone number
  • Website — Company website URL

Address

  • Address — Street address
  • City — City name
  • State/Province — State or province
  • Country — Country name
  • Postal Code — ZIP or postal code

Classification

  • Lead Source — Where this lead originated (e.g., Website, Referral, Cold Call). Sources are configured in Lead Sources
  • Status — Current lead status: New, Contacted, Qualified, Won, Converted, or Lost
  • Priority — Normal, Low, Medium, or High
  • Sales Team — Assigned sales team. Configured in Sales Teams
  • Assigned To — Individual salesperson responsible
  • Expected Revenue — Estimated deal value
  • Tags — Color-coded classification tags. Managed in Tags

Notes

  • Notes — Free-text notes about the lead

Actions

  • Save — Create or update the lead record. A unique lead reference (e.g., LD-0001) is auto-generated on first save.
  • Convert to Opportunity — Link appears for existing leads, redirects to Convert Lead
  • Delete — Soft-deletes the lead (marks as inactive)

Communication Log

For existing leads, a Communication Log is displayed at the bottom of the page showing the 20 most recent communications:

  • Date, Type (email/call/meeting/note/SMS), Direction (inbound/outbound), Subject, From

Activity Log

For existing leads, Recent Activities are shown:

  • Date, Type, Subject, Status, Assigned To
  • Click Add Activity to schedule a new activity linked to this lead
